Work
Myers Media is a portfolio of properties and offerings at the intersection of technology, language, and learning.
Nihongoism
Nihongoism is the flagship publication of Myers Media: a newsletter of deep dives for curious students of Japanese and their translators. Recent essays have ranged from the Japanese art of thinking to pitch accent, the texture of everyday particles, and what AI can and cannot do for language learners.
Apperceptive
Apperceptive is the Myers Media business unit focused on language-learning experiences. It is developing learning architectures built on reusable learning models and agents, in which the learner’s knowledge is treated as a living model rather than a deck of flashcards. These technologies currently exist in preliminary form in Kanjiism, an AI-based environment for learning to read Japanese, with further products in the pipeline.
